So TCL has yet again announced a NXTPaper tablet called the 10s (on it’s CES 2022 event). The first one was supposed to release last year but it never saw the light of day. This one is similar but with a few differences like a bigger screen, battery, and an inbuilt light (I don’t know if it’s front or back). My guess is that they weren’t able to finish the product last year in the promised time and in the development process they made some changes to the initial prototype.
Looking at this video it’s hard to tell whether the tablet is using a RLCD type display or regular LCD/OLED. They say it’s using a paperlike display but the colors look too good and the price is too cheap for it to be reflective. I honestly hope I am wrong though and that it ends up being a reflective display like that of the Hisense Q5 and the Pixel Qi.
The tablet is set a for 2022 Q1 release and will be first available in Europe and China before making its way to other countries. It will retail at a comfortable price of $249 (can’t confirm this yet). You can check out its full specs below-
