The Kindle Paperwhite 5 (aka 11th Gen) has been leaked on amazon’s shopping site and is now available for pre-order. It will be officially released on 27 October 2021.

Price & Where to Buy
Obviously, you can easily buy it from your regional amazon online store once it releases on 27 October or you can just pre-order now (currently not an option in the US & UK site since its out of stock).
Some eink/ereader online blogs also offer it, but I wouldn’t bother with them since the price is higher and you’d also have to pay taxes and a higher shipping cost if you’re not in the same country as them.
The price differs a bit depending on your country. For example, it’s 149 Canadian Dollars (118$) in Canada while in India it’s priced at 13,999 rupees ($190) which is ironic considering the purchasing power of the two. Am guessing it has to do with taxes and other regulations.
Anyways, at least we don’t have to pay import duties 🙂 or high shipping costs (it’s free). Which is a nice change for the avid eink lover.

Paperwhite Specialized Edition
The Kindle Paperwhite 2021 also has a Specialized edition where you get more storage at 32GB and also wireless charging. There’s also an auto-adjustment feature of the frontlight where it changes the level according to the environment you are in. It is priced higher than the regular one at 189$ for the US market.
